Double Down, on the move

Heartening news, Team Breen: Double Down, the controversial action thriller that questions the worlds of terror and death, now has its first ever online quiz. It's a necessary component of any cult movie's life in pop culture. In the coming weeks or months, we may even see "Aaron Brand" appearing on quizzes which determine which action movie hero the quizzee is most like. Or the movie may appear next to Leaving Las Vegas, Ocean's 11, 3000 Miles to Graceland, and Viva Las Vegas on a quiz entitled "Which Movie Set in Las Vegas ARE YOU????"
Ante up to the tables, pilgrim!

There are bones to be picked, however. Question 1 asks who played the lead role in Double Down, and does not provide "Neil Breen" as the answer! An intolerable mistake. The quiz accepts "Laura Hale" as the correct answer, who plays Aaron Brand's assassinated, ghostly lover. A supporting role at best. DEMERIT! This casts doubt on the possibility of the quiz being a legit, grass-roots thing. I suspect that it was created by a Netflix robot: the site is most definitely a Netflix marketing tool - the last question on each quiz takes you to a sign-up page.

These are very small bones to pick - cochlea, maybe. The second very cool thing I discovered is that Double Down is available through Netflix! This is a very promising development and a surefire vector for continued growth in the future and beyond.

Is it premature for us to imagine a Double Down convention? Guided tours of the primary locations? Autograph signings with Bonnie Carmalt, Fhretscya Youmans, and Chad Boutte? A keystone speech by Neil Breen himself? Intoxicating.
