Flannelgraph Records

Here's a logo I created for my good friend Jared's Flannelgraph Records. He had an idea that he'd like to incorporate a slice of pie and cup of coffee into it, and I tried a few different ideas in that vein. I couldn't get them to quite work though; I wanted the logo to be easily visible when scaled down. After my fourth failed attempt, I decided to browse old magazines from the 1950's at Google Books for images of pie and coffee. This led me to an advertisement for the Foremost Dairy Company. The picture was great, but I wasn't really inspired by it until I saw the logo. It seemed to fit perfectly. Ergo, I shamelessly ripped it off.
