So, I'm teaching myself illustrator. Like a silly, I decided to continue my experiments with my first published illustration for the Indiana Daily Student. Well, the silly part wasn't the Illustrator part of it, really: vintage candy packaging design is pretty basic and geometrical. The silly part was that I did not know when I pitched the illustration ("illo" in the jargon), it would be needed two days before the story is running. So I ended up kind of having to rush myself, and I'm not altogether satisfied with the final product. Go figure.

I liked these well enough to save. They'll print pretty small in the final. I'm not braggin' though. This is little more than an exercise using limited a color pallette and simple shapes.
